Experience
This past year, I was living in the Czech Republic as an English Teaching Assistant with the Fulbright Program. I gave multiple English lessons everyday and tutored Czech high school students, college students, and adults in English. I absolutely loved my teaching job and tutoring lessons, because I was able to connect to the students. Before moving to the Czech Republic, I tutored underprivileged K-12 students for two years and worked at an inclusive Blind Children's School. In August, I returned to Chapman University to finish my Master's Degree while working at the Blind Children's School again as a a teacher's assistant. I love educating others and making learning an enjoyable experience. As a tutor, I want to make learning fun and enjoyable. Every student is unique and has their own of learning; thus, I will make sure to use a teaching method that caters to their individual needs. Math is difficult, but I have always grown up loving it and I can help others believe that math can be fun. I have passed the CBEST without taking the test due to my SAT scores being high enough and I have already received my Certificate of Clearance for teaching in California. My Fulbright teaching experience gave me the opportunity to teach English to high school students with various levels in a small town in the Czech Republic (Czechia). I have three years of experience working with students study for tests and have taken many college courses on the subject matter. I have a minor in Disability Studies and have worked/tutored people with disabilities for a total of 5 years. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
